Dr. Ronaldo Opinga obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Manitoba, School of Dentistry in 2007. After completing dental school in Canada, he moved to California to practice general dentistry and soon found his passion working with kids. Dr. Opinga is a general dentist who limits his practice to children. He has over 15 years of experience providing general dentistry for children in over 18 dental offices all over Central and Northern California.
Dr. Opinga has a very strong passion and love for treating children in their dental needs. His experience, training and love for children enable him to put together an honest and proper treatment plan that is essential in gaining the trust of his patients and their parents.
Dr. Opinga is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Joaquin Dental Society.
In his life outside of dentistry, Dr. Opinga is a believer of Jesus Christ and loves to travel and spend time with his wife, Joyce, and their three kids, Jaden, Justine, and Jillian.
Dr. Andrew A. Rivamonte is a general dentist who graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2009 with a doctor of dental surgery degree. He completed a general practice residency at the University of Michigan Hospital, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry where he treated medically compromised and special needs patients. Dr. Rivamonte is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Contra Costa Dental Society.
Dr. Rivamonte accepted a position at Bethel Kids Dental after realizing the need for dentists in the younger population who tend to have difficulty in access to dental care.
He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, collecting baseball cards, and watching sports.
Dr. Pauline Lim was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cell Biology with an emphasis in cell development at UC Berkeley, she went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She also completed a general practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI with dual hospital privileges at the University of Michigan Hospital treating medically complex and compromised patients.
After too many snowy winters in the Midwest, Dr. Lim was ready to come back home to CA, where as a general dentist, she has been practicing general dentistry for adults and children for the past 10 years. With her passion and joy in working with children and adolescents, she now wants to focus on them to emphasize the importance of early prevention and the education of childhood cavities. Her goal is to develop and build positive experiences and behaviors that will lead to good life long oral health practices for each of her patients.
Dr Lim is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Contra Costa Dental Society.
James Lai, DDS
Dr. James Lai completed his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Dentistry in 2007. He has been practicing general dentistry for the past 14 years.
Motivated by upsetting dental memories from his childhood, Dr. Lai sought to focus his career on working with children to create positive dental experiences for them in their young age. He enjoys the opportunity to build trust with his patients and to change their former negative dental impressions into positive ones. His passion for children and dentistry is evident in the compassionate care he provides with each visit. His goal is to provide high quality care and education to his patients, and to empower them with the knowledge to control and maintain their oral health. Drawn by our shared passion to provide high quality care and to serve the underserved, he accepted a position with Bethel Kids Dental in 2020. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with his family and puppy.
Dr. Lai is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society.
Jason Jee, DDS, MS
Dr. Jason Jee was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and lived there much of his early childhood. Then, he moved to San Diego when he was a high school student. He attended UCLA with a Biochemistry degree with Cum Laude. He was actively involved in periodontal disease research at the USC School of Dentistry, and he published some articles on Factors on the Periodontal Disease Growth and earned Master degree on Oral Biology. He then transferred to University of Southern California School of Dentistry DDS where he finished his doctoral degree. He has been very involved in the dental community and was active in the American Student Dental Association and the American Dental Education Association. Now he is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Korean American Dental Association and Southern Alameda County Dental Society.
Dr. Jee joins Bethel Kids Dental with the passion and motivation to help kids with their dental needs especially in rural communities that are underserved. His ultimate goal with children is to provide excellent and timely care with respect and friendly welcoming so that all patients who are visiting the clinic can find the visit to be fun and comforting while getting the excellent treatment. He strongly believes that oral health is an essential part of achieving happiness and success, and he wanted to be the focal point of oral health for your children and their future. It not only involves providing good treatment but also promoting good behaviors at home so that patients can maintain the most optimum habits to benefit their oral health.
Preshus Joy Magdangal, DDS
Dr. Preshus Joy Magdangal was born in the Bay Area and grew up in Sacramento. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at UC Davis and then attained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society.
In 2017 Dr. Preshus moved away from her home area for the opportunity to work with pediatric patients in an underserved community in South Texas. After working in Texas for 5 years and with the birth of her first child, Dr. Preshus and her husband decided to move back to their home area. She is thankful to be home with family and to be a part of the Bethel Kids Dental team. Dr. Preshus aims to create positive dental experiences for children. She focuses on building trust and understanding with both patients and parents while also providing quality dental care.
Dr. Preshus is a follower of Jesus. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family, dancing, going to the beach and snowboarding.
