Prophy with Fluoride (Basic Cleanings)

Basic dental cleanings are imperative to good oral hygiene. In addition to a healthy smile, cleanings will allow you to detect dental problems early to avoid complicated procedures later.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride is one of the most effective ways to prevent cavities, and remineralize and strengthen your teeth.

Protective Sealants

Sealants are applied to teeth to prevent cavities by sealing open areas of your teeth.

Amalgam Fillings (Silver Fillings)

Amalgam or silver fillings have been used for over 150 years. These fillings are done on deep or severely decayed teeth. Amalgam fillings usually lasts long and is very strong.

Tooth Colored Fillings (White Fillings)

Tooth colored fillings are made from composite resins, and they are completely metal free. These fillings are much less noticeable than silver fillings as they resemble the color and texture of natural teeth.

Pulpotomy (Baby Root Canal)

Infected part of the tooth in the pulp (nerves and blood vessels) is cleaned out. This procedure is usually limited to primary (baby) teeth, or as an emergency treatment for adult teeth.

Stainless Steel Crowns/Nu-Smile or Tooth Colored Crowns

Dental crowns are used to cover a tooth that might be likely to break or is too damaged and decayed to be fixed with a filling. A crown is a covering or a “cap” that is placed over a tooth. They are bonded to the tooth using dental cement. We only recommend dental crowns for children when it is absolutely necessary.

Simple Extractions

Simple extractions are performed to remove baby teeth that are not repairable.

Space Maintainers

Space Maintainers are placed if there is early loss of baby tooth to hold the space for the erupting permanent tooth. It is made of metal band and loop of wire.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous Oxide, also known as laughing gas, helps our young patients to relax during their dental visit. It is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child’s nose. The gas has a sweet scent and it is quickly eliminated from the body at the completion of the dental treatment. With nitrous oxide, your child remains fully awake. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry regards nitrous oxide as a safe and effective method use for treating your child’s dental needs.
